We are currently looking for an experienced feedyard worker to work in all aspects of a feedyard environment. Daily job activities could include fence and pen maintenance, equipment operation, equipment maintenance and animal handling. Equipment operation responsibilities could include feeding cattle using a tractor pulling a feed wagon, running a frontend loader loading a feed wagon, pushing up feed, bedding pens, etc. Animal handling duties would include moving, inspecting, doctoring, processing and retrieving cattle in a quiet and efficient manner. Qualified Applicants should also be able to ride pens, inspect cattle and make decisions regarding pen health.
Requirements
Qualified applicants will be highly motivated, self starting, detail oriented individuals able to quickly identify what needs to be done and work in an unsupervised manner to ensure all tasks are completed. Must be an excellent rider and have the necessary knowledge and skill needed to identify animal illness. Must be able to handle cattle quietly and efficiently and follow procedures and established protocols, policies and safety guidelines. Experience with equipment operation is preferred.
