JOB TITLE:
Animal Scientist (Multiple Openings) JOB LOCATION:
2201 Ridgeway Rd, Parma, ID 83660 (Payette County) JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for developing, evaluating, and managing animal health and welfare within cattle feedyard operation.
Specific duties include:
(1) implementing and developing animal health programs to maximize herd health, including monitoring animals for signs of illness and disease; (2) providing medical treatment to sick animals; (3) administering vaccinations, antibiotics, and medications according to veterinary protocols; (4) evaluating necropsy of animals to determine cause of death; (5) moving cattle in a safe and proper manner pursuant to established company wellbeing policies, guidelines, and standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
Two years of livestock industry experience, including specific experience in animal health.
